The Path of Yeast Resistance
Bread was once simple — made with grain, water, time, and care. Our story begins with a return to traditional sourdough bread making, where patience and craftsmanship mattered more than speed. Using organic flour and wild fermentation, we honour age-old methods that have sustained communities for centuries. This is artisan sourdough as it was always meant to be: slow, natural, and deeply connected to the land it comes from.
My Story
I am a mother of two and deeply passionate about all things health. My background, however, is somewhat at odds with bread making. In fact, never in a million years did I think I would be standing here today advocating bread.
Once upon a time—not so long ago—I didn’t consume bread for nearly 15 years. Oh, how things can change.

What Is Sourdough? (And Why It’s Different From Yeast Bread)
Sourdough bread has been made for thousands of years, long before packets of commercial yeast ever existed. Yet today, it’s often seen as mysterious, complicated, or reserved for “serious” bakers.
Why Choose Us
Learn. Bake. Enjoy.
Simple, authentic sourdough—made by you.
You have Question
We have answers.
Do I need any baking experience?
Not at all. These workshops are designed for beginners through to confident home bakers. We take things slowly, explain each step, and make sure everyone feels comfortable working with sourdough.
How long is the workshop?
Each sourdough workshop runs for approximately three hours, allowing plenty of time to learn, ask questions, and enjoy the process.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. An apron is always a good idea—sourdough can be delightfully messy.
Do I need to bring anything?
No need to bring a thing. All ingredients and equipment are provided. You’re welcome to bring a notebook or phone if you’d like to take notes or photos along the way.
Will I take anything home?
Yes. You’ll go home with a complete sourdough kit, so there’s no need to purchase anything extra. This includes your sourdough starter, everything needed to continue baking, and your next loaf, ready to bake at home.
Is food provided?
Yes. You’ll enjoy tastings of freshly baked sourdough during the workshop, along with light refreshments. Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.
Are children allowed to attend?
Children are welcome at specific workshops only, as each class may have different requirements.
If you’re interested in kids’ classes, please enquire directly so we can discuss the most suitable option.
Do you offer private classes or kids’ parties?
Yes. I offer private sourdough classes, kids’ workshops, and kids’ parties, tailored to suit age, group size, and experience level. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas.
Do you run other types of workshops or events?
What if I can’t attend after booking?
Due to the preparation involved, bookings are non-refundable. However, you’re welcome to transfer your place to someone else with prior notice.
Where are the workshops held?
Workshop locations vary. Full details, including address and any parking information, will be provided after booking.

Lovely teacher & amazing results
Nina is such a great teacher! I was bought the class as a birthday present and wasn’t sure what to expect. The class was amazing. Included in the class are many of the items you need to make a loaf and Nina takes you through the process step by step. She is an excellent teacher and demonstrates every step and then helps you as you do it yourself. I am a visual learner and it was just wonderful to watch her do the techniques and then copy her. She also talks through the timeline several times which was great, and by the end we were all familiar with the process.
We all left the class with our dough which proved at home; we then undertook the final proving steps that evening at home and baked our loaves the following day. We exchanged photos of our respective loaves and EVERYONE baked a successful sourdough (and they tasted great).
Included in the price are several pieces of equipment that you need to make a loaf, as well as the ingredients to make a further loaf at home (including some of Nina’s superb sourdough starter and flour to make a second loaf) .
I had tried to bake sourdough in the past and found it rather difficult and stressful. This de-mystified the process and made it easy to follow and 100% successful. Highly recommended.
