The Path of Yeast Resistance

Bread was once simple — made with grain, water, time, and care. Our story begins with a return to traditional sourdough bread making, where patience and craftsmanship mattered more than speed. Using organic flour and wild fermentation, we honour age-old methods that have sustained communities for centuries. This is artisan sourdough as it was always meant to be: slow, natural, and deeply connected to the land it comes from.

My Story

I am a mother of two and deeply passionate about all things health. My background, however, is somewhat at odds with bread making. In fact, never in a million years did I think I would be standing here today advocating bread.

Once upon a time—not so long ago—I didn’t consume bread for nearly 15 years. Oh, how things can change.

What Is Sourdough? (And Why It’s Different From Yeast Bread)

Sourdough bread has been made for thousands of years, long before packets of commercial yeast ever existed. Yet today, it’s often seen as mysterious, complicated, or reserved for “serious” bakers.

Simple, authentic sourdough—made by you.

You have Question
We have answers.

Do I need any baking experience?

Not at all. These workshops are designed for beginners through to confident home bakers. We take things slowly, explain each step, and make sure everyone feels comfortable working with sourdough.

Each sourdough workshop runs for approximately three hours, allowing plenty of time to learn, ask questions, and enjoy the process.

Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. An apron is always a good idea—sourdough can be delightfully messy.

No need to bring a thing. All ingredients and equipment are provided. You’re welcome to bring a notebook or phone if you’d like to take notes or photos along the way.

Yes. You’ll go home with a complete sourdough kit, so there’s no need to purchase anything extra. This includes your sourdough starter, everything needed to continue baking, and your next loaf, ready to bake at home.

Yes. You’ll enjoy tastings of freshly baked sourdough during the workshop, along with light refreshments. Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.

Children are welcome at specific workshops only, as each class may have different requirements.
If you’re interested in kids’ classes, please enquire directly so we can discuss the most suitable option.

Yes. I offer private sourdough classes, kids’ workshops, and kids’ parties, tailored to suit age, group size, and experience level. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas.

Absolutely. In addition to regular sourdough classes, I offer:

•Corporate events
•Retreat workshops
•Private group bookings
•Tailored experiences designed specifically for your group or occasion

If you have something special in mind, I’d love to hear about it.

Due to the preparation involved, bookings are non-refundable. However, you’re welcome to transfer your place to someone else with prior notice.

Workshop locations vary. Full details, including address and any parking information, will be provided after booking.

Baking Alchemy

I signed up to Nina’s Sourdough course on a bit of a whim. I had no idea of the process and what was in store! However on a beautiful day, in Chipping, my sourdough journey began!

Nina immediately gives everyone the confidence, that they have the ability to succeed. She has a warm, yet no fuss approach to sourdough. I had wonderful few hours, learning a new skill, and unraveling the alchemy that underpins it.

Here’s to a lifetime of superb sourdough!

Thank you 🤎
